I have worked for a long time in collage. Over the years I have moved away from found paper to paper

I paint myself, and I have worked with heavier paper to obtain a more structured feel when torn. One of

these - Delves - was exhibited and sold at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in 2013.

I also use a collage approach to sculpture, building up with found or other materials,

Red Shift  - shown at the 2015 Summer Exhibition - also began as a collage but I have become

increasingly interested in printing. Some of my prints have collaged elements. Red Shift is different in so far

as it pares down and reduces - but it still has a collage element. The background is a manipulated photograph

of the mesh on one of my speakers, printed on archival cotton mould paper. Then I have overprinted in oil relief

ink using a vinyl plate.

Most recently I have been using photopolymer plates. A material and process that allows drawings, computer images

and photographs to be transferred to metal plates for relief printing and etching. In his Le Paquet de Tabac Juan Gris

collaged wallpaper to save him painting it, and I employed the same spirit in my hommage.

I live in Pimlico, London.
